Brushwolf those cherry lams are cherry! Very pretty grain.

Thanks! They came out of a really nice board.  I've used it before and this is the tail end of it so I hope ####### likes them. I've been saving it for a "special occasion".

Gorgeous lams on that Cherry bow...I was gonna post some pics of my progress but I lost the bow  :-(   Maybe its with my camera cord in the sock drawer at Roys house...string could be there too.

Riser block glued up and one takedown recurve limb in the oven. Let's hope I'm not biting of more than I can chew. Sure think *#%€* is going to like it!

I finally made time to work on a (possible) trade bow. I'm working on more than one just in case. I cut the riser out of a nice piece of walnut and the grain looked best with a straight limb design. I tapered a walnut core from 3/8" to 1/16" at the tips and I tapered and planed a piece of bamboo down to 1/8" for the back. I'm using 1/8" bamboo for the belly as well. I'm wondering if I should use a power lam above the riser. Any opinions on this would be appreciated.   :bigsmyl:
One cool thing - I tempered the bamboo back and the propeller twist it had is all but gone. I was worried that it might twist the bow.
