i have a nice straight stave of osage( not a snakey piece of wood), but because it was sawn and not split,
it has a bit of runout on the sides-
back ring is good( will get a photo- as soon as i have finished chasing the back ring)
will this still work for for a 50# bow about 66" long and 28" draw.
should i back it with some silk- or what else is recommended- as it has to be finished in about the next week.- so i am geussing some kind of backing that i can put on with titebond III, if i need to.
thanks

I'm gonna need a pic before I can say. Good to see you're at it again.

will get a pic up soon.
thx

How wide is your stave? You can easily build a hunting weight bow from a 1" wide osage stave if necessary.
 Pics will surely help!
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!

Sawn or split...follow the lateral grain with a pencil line down the
center. Like this...
