I have read so many different opionions on where the "center line" should be on the riser.  Keep in mind I build fiberglass recurves.  I have put the center at the shelf.. I have tried the center at the pivot point of the handle.. I have gone in between.

Just curious what you guys are doing and why.

I use the center of the grip. My nock height seems to want to be high 3/4" or so and wondered if I need to adjust my center??? Good question

Lots of places will work.The more important thing is to get the limbs to work in accordance with the grip/riser configuration.

Yeah.. trying to find the right balance.  Mine seem to shoot pretty good with the center line inbetween the rest shelf and the pivot point.  My shelves are rounded, so the high point of the shelf is a smidge higher than the center line and that puts the pivot point just under it since I make thin shelves.

Still like to hear more from you all.. I am designing a new riser and am playing around with some ideas.

I put mine 1 1/8 above center. When the shelf is rounded it is 1 in. above. The way I shape my grips leaves the pivot a bit below center. Here is the thing though. When you put the bow on the tiller tree you can tell if the limbs are working together and adjust from there.
