First thing is- I do not have a bandsaw.

I have some horn I would like to cut into 1/8" thick pieces from the solid portion for tip overlays.  I have about 4" of solid horn tip, and I would like to cut it cross-sectionally.  I have handsaws, jigsaw, scrollsaw, dremel, tablesaw.
Any ideas on the best/safest way to get the cuts I need with the tools at hand?

Thanks
Mike

I've cut them with a hacksaw.  Holding them in one place is difficult.

Flatten one side of horn, glue to solid piece of wood and use that to put in a clamp.  Now you have it held in something solid, cut with hacksaw.

Rainman has it! When presented with cutting problems, there's always a way to jig it up. You could go so far as to do what he said and use that on a table saw. It will stink to high heaven, but you can do it. Just make sure your piece of wood allows for finger clearance! I think I'd use a thin blade pull saw for hand sawing. Wastes less horn that way.  ;)

Thanks guys.

I do have a decent pull saw, so probably best to go that route.

I've used a scroll saw on low speed. The fingers may be in jepordy if one is not cautious!
