This bow is made from Winged Elm. It's 64" NTN. It is 45# @ 27.5" The tip overlays are cocobolo and phenolic. I am shooting a 10 strand D-10 string. Elm is a white wood. I stained it with red mahogany and then sealed it with Tru-Oil. I am very pleased with the performance thus far. It seems to be a very springy wood.
Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Very nice Mr.B

I was just checking out some Siberian Elm trees around here grow very straight and lots of them  about the right size. Do you think they are much like your elm? Keep up the good work.

I have tons of winged elm on some property and it was one of the first bow woods I ever used. Its some really hard wood to work but it makes a fine bow.I think its the best of the elms for bow wood.

Pearl Drums - That is Mark "Pappy" Baggett.  He is the owner of Twin Oaks Bowhunters farm. He has hosted the IBO Trad Worlds for 3 years and the Tennessee Classic for 14.  One of the best selfbow bowyers in the world and has probably killed over 200 deer with selfbows.  Finally, he's one of the finest men I've ever met.
