Always nice to have a project come together, I used these tools to make it work. You will see the Gizmo, the butcher knife (major tillering tool) the antler for burnishing the back of the bow and the little 4 way rasp/file

The bow turned out quite well in my opinion 63#@28, it likes a 7 inch brace height. Its 68" from tip to tip, I find shooting it with the wrist down gives the best groups

This is a pic of shooting 19yards, with 600 grain ash shafts. I shoot off the knuckle hence no shelf of any type, so now I guess its time to make some meat, trip planned for the 1st of Oct. PS Thanks 4est Trekker, best $12.98 bow money could buy (Cost of the red oak, first board off the shelf at Home Depot)

No denying it, those pyramid bows are fun to make and shoot. And that one looks like no exception Mike. Very nice. Enjoy it! And the many more i'm sure you'll make...

TREESLEEPER

Nice bow Mike. Thanks for sharing. As mentioned before, 4est's build a long has inspired a lot of us.

PEARL DRUMS

Nice bow. Mike what color is the stain on those arrows?  I love it.

Mike Most

Pearl, the stain on the arrows is "Red Oak" by minwax, I use a stain sealer before the stain to even it out.....then tru oil... I know those shafts have about 2000-2500 shots, and have been refletched once...

Guys, thanks for the comments, its really a fun shooter

Nice bow, Mike. It's agreed, 4est made one heck of a build-a-long! Gotta love those pyramids.

Fantastic work, and fine shootin'! That's a great looking board and a better looking bow.  So glad it worked out for you, Mike.  Thanks for posting for all to see  :)

Thanks, managed to get some coyote fur silencers on her, and she is loaded on the truck ready for the meat making trip. Getting out of this 98 degree weather and headed 1000 miles due north...hopefully into 49 degree weather....(thats winter to some of us Texans)  :archer:
