Where is the best place to find a good deal on some 60 grit 6"x80" belts for my Grizzly belt sander?

Thanks

I have been buying zirconium belts online from supergrit.com there are other good suppliers but I am satisfied with their belts and great service

Wow looks like supergrit has some real low grit belts.

What grit do you use for roughing out?  Should I go any lower then 60?

Also, is it worth the extra $$$ for the Zirconia Belts over the Aluminum Oxide Belts ?

Thanks

The Zirconia belts are without a doubt worth the price, they last much much longer than the Aluminum Oxide belts.  I use a 36 grit on my sander for roughing out, much faster than finer grits.  Downside leaves a rough surface requires more finish sanding.

I have been using a 50 grit belt to grind limbs close to the line then I use a 120 grit to grind to the line...I haven't used any anything courser than 50. Jess has a lot of experience so I may try a 36 belt and stop short, use 50 then 120 grit.

I use 36 grit on my 6X48 Griz for most of my bow work. Sure can thin bamboo in a hurry with this grit, finger tips as well, good thing they grow back on their own.

I get aluminum oxide from an fleay seller named Barbkat. She used to have a company called Discount Abrasives but has gone strictly on line now. She has every size belt as well as disc and flat paper. I pay around $25 for 10 belts from this source.

Grizzly sells a 6x80 belt. $15/2
I think they are just AO belts but that is a pretty good price.
