Hickory backed Yew flatbow/ just finished

KENDALL TECHAU

I made this bow out of Yew billets planed flat and backed with a Hickory lam as thin as I dared to plane it. It's backed with Eastern Diamondback. 64" 57#@26". It took 1" of sting follow.I'm happy with the way it turned out.

Real nice Kendall! Good idea to do a hickory backing on yew. Wonderful tiller in the braced pic.

Thanks fellas, I've had all the materials sittin around for several years,just never got around to making the bow. Hopefully I'll take a nice Iowa buck with it this season !
