When the bow comes out of the heat box it has alot of glue that needs to be removed how do yall do it we sanded it

I try and wipe it down away from the bow edge onto the plastic wrap as much as possible right after pressurizing the hose.  That allows you to snap a bunch off (tip from KennyM).  I run down the edge with a bandsaw to get big chunks off and then belt sand.

I knock off the big globs with a heavy rasp... then layout and straight to the bandsaw for rough cut.

To sand the "smooth on" boogers  off I use a 50 grit zirconium belt on my belt sander, then after I draw the lines for limb shape I grind the limbs close to the lines also using the 50 grit belt..I then switch over to a 120 grit belt to grind to the lines

50 grit on the big belt sander, round end.  I knock all the edges down to wood, then drum sand it to the finished width I plan, squaring it up and making the blank.   At that point I can pull the tape and see what I've got and if all's well, I'm ready to retape with white tape and draft the bow onto the blank, then grind it out to shape with the sander again, using the round end to rough it out close to the lines, then the 40" flat side to to finish.   I never touch a bandsaw blade to glass, not even to trim a limb end, gets too expensive.   Hacksaw for that.
