Anybody ever use quarter sawn sycamore in a limb? Thinking about using them for veneers over a core.... Any thoughts?

Should make a pretty one. Sycamore looks great when quarter sawn. Makes a great turkey call to.

are you going to stain it or leave it natural?

Ive used it a couple of times, makes a good bow. Sycamore is a cousin to maple and works the same imo. Looks good dyed also.   Mark

Was goning to leave it natural.I'm thinking of useing myrtle and East Indian rosewood for a riser.I first saw sycamore in a box call and thought it would make a gorgeous limb veeneer.
