Here is recurve I finished up with the help of a whole bunch of wonderful people.  She is 60" and 49# 28".  It isn't the fastest, but it might be the quietest recurve I have ever shot.  It is very forgiving and extremely easy to string.

Forgot to state is patterned after the Rocky Mountain Recurve of the eighties and early nineties.

Trux Turning

The I-beam is very cool! Jess has been involved in this project for at least the past six months. The results are amazing. The RMR is one bow which does need to be cloned. It's not an easy one to copy either. Great job and a very fine looking bow.

Now for the rest of the story, I certainly have not been the only involved in this build.  Several people sent me measurements, tracings of all the different riser lengths.  Foxbo well, he let me borrow the original you see in the pics, never met him before.  He just trusted me to return his bow when finished. As Mudd would say how cool is that.  Good thing he never saw a picture of me kind of look like a cross between Joseph Stalin and Charles Manson LOL.

Well, it makes no difference to me what you look like. It's what's in your heart that counts.

Everyone should know that Jess shipped my bow back and it arrived today. He constructed a wooden shipping box and it wasn't cheap to ship either. When I unscrewed the lid, I found not just my bow packed expertly, but a very classy three piece 62" longbow, crafted by Jess. What are ya going to do with a guy like that? I'm speechless as I really don't deserve such kindness. It is a wonderful thing to help someone out, but then when they return it ten times over, what can ya do except to say, "Thanks a million!". I can tell ya one thing, "He'll have no problem having any of my bows shipped directly to him for his next project." Straight shooters won't let ya down.

RRock

Made me take my RMR off the rack and look at it for awhile. I've had mine since the early 80's.

By the way, heck of a nice job.
