First off, I want to say hello to everyone here.
I got started in this new found obsession while working with my 17 year old son and quickly discovered that I had been missing something. We are both hooked.
I have got my bow well into the tillering process and would like some opinions on how it appears to be going. Here is a picture of where it is right now.

The right limb is the top limb. I am waiting on my string materials to arrive so I can make a string for it and get it to brace. It is 61" NTN. What do you think?

Nice job so far. Welcome to TG.

Pretty dang close, the right mid-limb is a bit stiff. It looks like your tips are moving good, put a shorter string on, just above the handle a few inches. Then check again.

The right limb is stronger than the left. Both need to bend more mid limb out. I'd fix the tiller and then string it up. Jawge

I'd give the outer 2/3rds on the right about 20 scrapes.  And then see where you are.  I bett that will even them up.

The near handle wood on the left looks pretty stiff to me.  It looks thicker farther out than the right does.

Also from midlimb out on the left is pretty flat.

Lookin' real good though.  Keep at it.
Take a kid hunting!

Thanks for all the opinions guys. It is places like this that really help a guy out.
I made a gizmo when I got home from work today(thanks Eric) and hopefully I did it right. I also took more off the right side throughout the limb to even it out with the left one. It looks like I still need to thin out the ends a little more on both sides, they look a little heavy and that is the only place the gizmo was making a mark(the last 6 inches or so). I still didn't take any off around the handle on the left limb yet. Here is the latest picture. What do you think?

Here is the picture.....sorry.

Okie....
I am just south of Stilwell, close to the Arkansas border.

I would put it on a short string with about a 4-5" brace height and see what it looks like.
