One day I too will back a bow with snake because of all the beutiful work I've seen on here with them. I love that three snake idea alot! If only we had some stuff around these parts but garter snakes are pretty small creatures :-(

Thank you very much for the compliments guys and gal!

I wasn't sure how it would look with 3 different species on the same bow, but I do like the way it turned out myself. These were all road kill snakes found in front of my house so far this spring. Reuse, recycle, waste not want not, I use what the Lord gives me and try to make something nice from it.

Don't be afraid to try it Nimrod, it's not that difficult just very time consuming. I'd bet you all have some other snakes out there in NH besides just garter snakes? If you have garters then you have brown snakes too I'm sure, and those have very nice natural camoflage markings. The 2 on each side of the middle skin that's on the handle are brown snakes.

Thanks Don, it shoots great. I still got to do a little fine tuning and some tweaking with my brace ht. but I was shooting 3 arrow groups the size of a coffee mug inside my garage. So that's promising.

Nice looking bow. I like the snake head tip.

SEMO_HUNTER

Thank you Harvey, my dad sure doesn't. He jumped when I pointed the limb tip at him.......he's been afraid of snakes his whole life.
I like snakes, and they never have bothered me a bit.

LOL, your Dad jumped...that is some funny stuff.  My Mom's dad would have done the same if he was still alive, he would just about faint if a baby Garter crossed his path.  People and snakes...funny combo sometimes.
