I am going to pick up some actionboo from the store this week and use it in a R/D glass bow.  I was planning on having two layers of the boo in the core at .100 and .001 taper.  But because this is actionboo and it is already glued up every which way, can't I just make 1 piece that is .200 thick and tapered .002?  Or because it is thicker, will that make it harder to form?

Honestly Matt I would make it even thinner. 200 would overstress the wood. 100 is workable but not desireable. Personally I do not go much over 60 on any laminations. The more laminations the less individual stress the wood fibers have.
Any that is my experience on it. three 6.65 lams with .001 would also give you a better taper. .002 taper in a d and r is a little light even with a full length profile taper . Generally a bow with less than three thousands taper in a d and r pattern will tend to bend to heavy in the fade area and not enough out on the tips.
God Bless, Steve
