I just sawed a burl I cut several years ago in Illinois.  Isn't that just stunning?

I'm not sure how big of a chunk you glass bowyers need for risers and such but I am open to trades or selling if you are interested.  I hate for it to end up as bookends which is what my wife immediately thought  :)

Love the look of Osage.  That is sweet.

That's a weird looking burl.  All the burl I've seen had bunches of little pin knots and the outer surface under the bark looked like a mountain range.

Sure is pretty though.

those are going to make awesome handles or risers. just beautiful.

Post another shot without the yard stick in it and I will make it my desk top pic.  :)

John I really hate to tell you this but it isn't that nice at all.  Just box it up and send it to me I will dispose of it for you. LOL.  Gosh that is some simply stunning wood, you should start making glass bows you already have a great start on some outstanding riser wood.

You got that right PD! Then you wouldn't need to use the 2 pieces of H glued together to make it look the same as that right there does. That sure does look nice John.

Believe it or not the "HARDWAY" is often the EASIER way(in hindsight)!

Man those are sweet lookin; they'd make some nice project wood for something? Knife handles maybe? Or like PD bow handles for sure!
