Been working on my first attempt at a BBO. The only problem I had was my own ignorance. Without much thought, I sanded the nodes completely off the backing and thinned the whole backing down to the thickness I wanted, which is a little less than an 1/8" at the fades tapered to 1/16" at the tips. To remedy the problem, I asked some questions here on TG. As usual I got some excellant advice. So I backed the boo with rawhide. So basically its a boo lam backed with rawhide.A rawhide and boo backed osage. I guess I'm just woundering further if I should back it with anouther layer of rawhide or skins ect, or should it be strong anough. Any thoughts?

That rawhides pretty tough. I would think that a single layer would be fine. Any more than that would be extra mass that you don't need. Good luck
