does color of limb matter under snake skins

Hey guys wanting to back my next glass bow with snake skins.how much difference does the color of the limb under the skin matter. mostly light or dark is what im trying to get at. black glass versuses a light maple limb. would appreciate any knoledge thanks mike

I believe that it does, I have only put snake over black limbs but have been told the light colors dont look as good and show thru.
I suggest you stay with dark glass.

yes it does matter as snake skin is translucent(sp). stay with a dark colored glass.

depends on the type of snake.copperheads look best on light backgrounds. Rattle snakes look good on either.
