Well I got some time to to finally pick out the stave for my swap bow.

Plenty of character for sure.

She's gonna get some skins and maybe flipped tips. We'll just have to see what she wants to be.

Well, here it is. Sanded and ready for sealer and filler. From the looks of the wenge it will take about 100 filler coats, that stuff is as porous as a gravel pile. It finished up one pound under maximum, I hope it will work. I will have the finish sprayed on in a couple weeks.

And a close-up of the wenge just because I like how it looks

I didnt miss, thats right where I was aiming

That wenge is dizzyilg Greg. You better put a warning on it for tree stand hunters. d;^)

Beautiful bow Greg!  That wenge is awesome!

Greg, that form produces one of the most graceful bows I've seen in some time!  Beautiful lines...er, curves!    :clapper:

Always say what you mean, that way people will know you mean what you say.

Dick in Seattle

Great looking bows!  I like both wood combinations.

Ranger,
Print the page, pin it up and it's all yours. I put the first 5 filler coats on today, only 95 more to go. Well maybe not that many, but the wenge sure soaks up the finish.

Greg,  The wood combo on both bows look GREAT!!! Can't wait to see the finish on.
