Was low on sinew so I decided to try making a longbow, picked up a nice dense piece of red oak from lowes. 72 inches long rounded belly flat back 80 pounds at 32 inches pictured at 28 inches, shoots great with 33 inch poplar arrows.
Wanting to put a yew finish on it if anybody knows what to use I would appreciate it. Thanks

Very nice sir, Had to double read your post as I first thought you had a bow 32 inches long pulling eighty pounds.

Very nice with a rounded belly. Something I havent been able to accomplish yet, but still on the trail....

Nice and simple...just the way I like them. The single side nocks add to the simplicity. Well done for a heavy red oak bow!
