First of all I would like to say that I never made  a bow but it is something that I must try. Would beech wood make a good bow? For some reason I think beech trees so interesting, I would like a bow made from them.

Yes - I have made a few from Beech - but it is said that this particular wood can cause eye cancer - most likely from filing or sanding .  

Thanks for the warning Paul, until I hear otherwise I think I'll just admire the trees.

Wish i had some Beech to try, if you get some extra and want to trade let me know.
