Who sells carbon fiber for backing bows and what type of epoxy should be used for this.

carbon isnt known for its flexibility , its known for its stiffness... imo , youre asking for trouble trying to back something with carbon fiber...

I think Binghams sells carbon fiber.  I have a longbow with double carbon (back and belly) and that sucker is a sizzler for sure.  Check them out.
I humbly follow in the learned footsteps of those who precede me.

Thanks to both for the info. I did see a couple of bow makers listing carbon fiber as optional backing material so i was just a little curious.
I think for now i am going to stick to a basic longbow design untill i get a few under my belt then i will start to experiment.

i looked into it after youre question , and when i think of carbon fiber i think of it as a structural part made for stiffness and lightweight. i had the impression that you were talking about laying up a thicker layer of carbon than what you would actually be using. i saw the tape they sell , and i know you could just put one layer of thicker carbon fabric , but either way , i'd read as much about them as you can. ive had carbon fail on me once , in a car , and it wasnt pretty...

Yes it would just be a thin layer on the back of a bow.
