Good answer Darrell. Let me know how it turns out.

This queston was a joke right? Having trouble picking between those two? Shoot both and decide as with any other two bows or you will always be left wondering.  :)

For me personally the Silvertip is not even a contender for what I like in a bow but everyone is different.

I've shot alot of deer off the shelf, but the older I get the more I'm intrigued with more tuning options and reasonable limb costs, and less intrigued with looks.  Always have been a pragmatic type of guy.

I have shot alot of bows, Silvertips shoot well for me. In my opinion for what it is worth, bows are like women, some are very pretty but you couldn't stand to live with them.(Look good but don't shoot for beans.) Others, well, they may have a nice personality...(Shoot good but are butt ugly!) You have to find a bow that you like to look at and becomes a part of you while you carry it in the woods. Date, excuse me, I mean shoot alot of bows, the right one will come along.

The Schafer, because you have shot one before and liked it.  I wouldn't order a bow I'd never shot before, just because others like it.  I have been disappointed with a couple bows that many others raved about.  I've shot a lot of custom recurve bows and haven't shot anything I like better than my Schafer.

Hey Paul....go to the big indoor coming up in Billings and shoot Albertakid's DAS...then see what you think.   ;)

Like how I volunteered ya, Jordan?....haha   ;)

To the original question....and right to the point...for the mission you describe:

You have the best opportunity to shoot most consistently under more diverse conditions, with more varied setups with the Dalaa.  There is NO refuting that.  So there it is...naked truth....LOL.
