For the people that have a bow from Kenny's form what brace do you have it at?
I know there is a sweet spot but.....

kennym

Hey Tim,

I usually run around 6.5 to 7" on the 64".

Don't have one that I'm shootin this year, but measured last years 62"(same form) and it is 7 1/8" brace.

The 60" experiment I'm shootin this year ,I just measured at(hmmmm)7 1/8" also.

I suppose a lot of factors figure into the BH,like shooting style, arrow weight and who knows what else!

GF Asbell wrote one time, start low and raise bit by bit, when it quietens noticeably ,that is the sweet spot.

I'd have to kinda agree with that.
Stay sharp, Kenny.

I usually end up at about 7.25" on the ones I build.

Mine is set at 7 1/16" and Helens is at 7 1/4" today, she has set hers as low as 6 1/2"

DEATHMASTER

I have the St. Jude bow of this year.
64" so that gives me a good start point.

YOU DO MAKE A NICE BOW Kenny.

kerryb

mine is at 7 1/8 on the 64" Kenny makes great bows.

Thanks guys! Looks like 7-7.25 must be what they like!

kenny i have a 14 year old that wants to build his own bow any suggestions?

kennym

Brian, here is something to look at,but for ease of building, probably a strait longbow would be good for the first one.

A strait form is much easier to do,and you can use rubber bands for pressure. Not a bad way to go if you aren't building several.
