I just saw an add in one of my father's wood working magazines for Kwick Kleen bow finish.  I've never heard of it and was wondering if anyone here had used it or knows anything about it.

I haven't heard of it. Maybe try doing a search to see if anyone has posted about it? Is it a two part?

Yes, I have used "Kwick Kleen" finish and really like it.
It is a quick drying polyurethane conversion finish that can be thinned 20% with a good quality Lacquer thinner for spraying and dries to the touch in 5 to 10 minutes.
The great thing about it you can spray all coats within 30 minute intervals but all coats need to be sprayed within 6 hours of the first one.

Bert - Thanks for the info.  It sounds pretty good.  My father has a sprayer he uses for all his woodworking, so I might try it on my next bow project. What do you do between coats - rub down with steel wool or fine sandpaper?

I spray as many coats as needed usually 5 or 6(very thin) in a matter of a few hours, no sanding etc in between.
Most my bows go to hunters so I will spray 4 or 5 coats of Gloss and make the last one Satin, as the Gloss is a harder finish and is more durable than the Satin is.

Bert, I too had never heard of it but it sounds very interesting.  Where do you get it, and how long have you been using it?  Does it work as well on the glass as the riser?  Does it have a good shelf life, any additional info would be appreciated.

Bert - Thanks.  I'll have to try it out.

Sounds like the thunderbird poly finish. Goes on a laquer then converts to a poly. I liked the fast dry time because I don't have a ideal conditions or a spray booth. The thunderbird epoxy takes along time to dry and will catch all the flies in your garage and an occasional low flying B-52.
Touch up can be tricky. If the finish has converted to a poly and you re-spray it, you risk lifting the original finish because the laquer sprays 'hot' meaning it dries so fast it can wrinkle the original finish.
