Did a little more work on the tiller. Glued on some walnut tips (a first for me) Got about 150 or so arrows thru her. She's at 54# @ 28" and she shoots good. Got a pair of skins I'm gonna glue on, then some tru oil and she'll be ready to go.
Braced at 5 7/8"

Here's full draw (my fulldraw 27") It's tillered to 28"

I know it ain't perfect but this thing is a shooter so I ain't messing with it no more
18 yds with a 11/32 31" 55# woody I'm sure it'll shoot better than this with someone else driving

and here's my first attempt at limb tips

When it gets there if you ain't happy I'll buy it back for a hundred bucks!

Well I have already got my trade bow, but if that one were mine you sure wouldn't get her back for no hundred bucks.  That is a dang nice looking bow.

Pat B

Paul, she's coming along nicely. Looking forward to the finished pics.

Enjoy the journey, because the destination just might suck!

Very nice bow. All in all your tillering and shooting looks to be spot on. Who ever gets this bow in the trade should be very happy.

Here's a few pics after I got the skins on. Obtained these as a matched pair. They don't exactly match and one had damage near the tail. I used them anyway. The one that was damaged caused me to have to offcenter it a bit but I think it still looks okay. You can deffinitely tell it's 2 snakes. I think I'll take it's name from that and name her 2 snakes.
I haven't seen much at all posted from my guy. I read a post as to concern that somebody may get shafted out of a bow. I'm not the best builder here by far, but if anyone does not get their bow I will build you one.

Gonna get the finish on and a leather grip in the next day or so. She should be headed towards here new home by the end of the week. Paul<><

She came out very nice, Paul. I think I prefer timber rattlers more than any other snake skin. Someone will be very happy with "Two Snakes"!

Looks good to me, and a very appropriate name. I'm sure who ever gets it will be happy, I know I would.

the skins almost look like a shade effect.the profile almost looks like 2 snakes end to end. very cool. will make a great hunting bow.
