I want to build my first glass bow, 64-66" ntn mild R/D 45-50 lb @28. core will be hard maple tapered .002 per inch, riser 16-18". The stack formulas are to complicatede for me at this point.

The first one is always kind of a guess.  You could check with Binghams they may have plans for a bow like what you want.  If so they would be able to recommend stack height to hit the weight you desire.  Striking out with your own design is admirable but you should expect to miss weight on the first one.  Plans usually eliminate that and you get a shooter quicker and cheaper.

If you have your form built, post a pic of it...It would help.  Like Jess said, its going to be a bit of an experiment but we might be able to get close to good recomendation of the lam stack and you can probably adjust the length or slim it and trap it to get close to your desired weight.

My 64" medium D/R takes .355 for 45# and .355 for 50#. That is 1.5" wide at fades, 18" riser and .003 total taper in lams.

Now what does .002 vs .003 do? Haven't checked that! Anyone got proof or speculation? LOL

Your going to have to decide on your length and riser lenght before getting advise. Your variables will change weight by alot if combined. 64 to 66" will change it 10 lbs. and riser length change 2" will change it also.    Mark
