Dang, Brad ! That little bastard is looking wild. You're really hooked up by this short suckers, aren't you ? What are you going to do after this one ?  A riser with recurves ? Recurves without a riser ?

These shortys are fun...and sometimes its hard to make the same bow twice, but I think Ill crank out a few of these over time.

kennym

I love those short bows. We reviewed Rodney Wrights Stalker a few years back, and it gave me a new apreciation for shorties.

one word - AWESOME!

i like that little bows!

greets
in past even the future was better, so what do you want?

bjansen

Pete, reading your review was one of the main reasons I decided to build one of these.

Pete W

Rodney recomends a brace of 9 1/2 to 10". It sounds high but shoots very nice there.
Glad you liked the review.

Bone lake

Dang it that looks cool, you sure make some sweet looking bows.

I now have the tip overlays and front overlays on and have started to shape it before calling it a night.  I had the chance to shoot a few arrows through it and its been good so far.  Its a shame it will turn out so light.  I'm slill deciding whether to add a thumbrest on it yet or not.

Here are some pics

It looks pretty crappy right now but this weekend it will turn into a nice little bow.

eman614

the curve in that handle is crazy. how does it feel when you are drawing the bow?

on a side note, you don't by chance know any Glaubers that live up that way do you?

bjansen

It doesnt feel all that bad, but it def. hits a wall at just over 28".  I can draw and shoot it fine, and once I slim the handle down that will give me another 3/8" of draw so I think it will be good.  No I dont know any Glaubers...that being said I havent always lived here though.

joekeith

Well it sure reminds me of my Stalker, and she hits a wall @ 28' too.  What weight is it coming out at ?  They are fun bows to shoot, I bet you'll really enjoy it....good job BTW

bjansen

Its going to come in too light...I bet it finished at 39-40#.  With some of the data I got from the Herter's .001 of lam stack difference will change the poundage 2# basically...so its a touchy recipe to say the least.

VRB

That's a winner Brad.Looks good at full draw,no finger pinch and limbs are working.Let us know how it shoots.

Holy Toledo, that shape is real... swoopie.  Nice.

bjansen

Almost complete now.  Just need to final tiller, final sand, and then start the finishing process.  I think it looks pretty sharp.  Check out what I did on the front.  I thoguht the overlays on the front looked proportionally large compared to the rest so I wanted to break it up a bit.  If it hasnt been done to a bow before you saw it here first.  I think it looks pretty nice and certainly breaks up a large black overlay.
