What thread to lace a longbow grip

What kind of thread or other material would you suggest to lace a leather grip on a longbow? Where can you buy it?

I have used B50 string material, and heavy nylon thread, but I like the looks of fine leather strips best.

I have used artifical sinew and was very happy with the results.

I used B50 on my last one and was very pleased
Bring a compass because it's awkward when you have to eat your friends.

I've used some leather lacing and artificial sinew.  You can get both from a craft store like Michael's.

Artificial sinew, waxed linen thread, very thin flat leather lace, and leather cord are what I've used.
