Here is my latest creation. I don't think this has been done before. (I have not seen them) Mosaic limb bolt washers. These are on my PBS donation bow. I have been kicking around the idea for a couple years and finally got around to making them. I also made a set with black inside of the squares

Those are awesome! Any chance for a build-a-long?

bjansen

Wow, that is absolutely outstanding.

kennym

COOL!! Is the brass bezel set down in phenolic?

Thanks guys!
Kenny,
The washers are setting in counterbores in the phenolic overlays on the limb. Below is a picture.
Jesse,
No plans for a build along at this time. Google making mosaic pins. I made some for knives before I made the washers. You must have a metal lathe to build these the way I did. Not sure if I will make anymore. I usally only build one of whatever it may be and that's the end.

That's really impressive.  How many estimated hours do you have in that bow?  I bet you have alot.  Chad

bjansen

That is a fine bow. The points in the saddle look excellent!

inrut

Thanks for the kind words guys!

VRB,
The riser has a box joint running up the center of the Rosewood.
Chad,
I'm not sure hour many hours I have in the bow. I would guess maybe 30 hands on excluding drying times on glue or finish. I'm thinking about 2.5 hours on the limb bolt washers.

cobbow

Inrut that is to cool!!

Did you use solid brass stock and drill out for where the mosaic is?

Trying to make them in my mind and that is what I am comeing up with.
