This bow is from a log I cut back in Sept. It is 66" NTN.

Looks like the right limb needs a few scrapes mid limb on. Flip it around and check. Sometimes your eyes play tricks on you with these character bows. Jawge

Yes I think you are right George. Thanks Cam!

On character bows, sometimes you can squint your eyes while looking at it and the little bumps and  wazoos will fade away and you'll see what you really need to see.

Well I was really amazed to see that this bow only draws 20lbs at 20". I guess it will be a kids bow. Did I stay on the long string too long? I even piked the tips an inch each.

I long string tiller out to 10 inches of string movement. Looking for good limb tiller. I check weight. I want around 5# over target weight. Then I string it. There a buildalongs on my site. Coming in underweight is par for the beginner. You'll get it. Jawge

What target weight did you want and what is the bow length now after piking? Jawge

razorsharptokill

I thought that it is bad to pull over the target weight? I wanted around 40 @ 28. The bow is now 63" NTN.

In reference to my 2nd to the last post. It is but it is not strung yet and 5# over is ok. Too short to pike anymore. Jawge

Yeah, I'm going to give this one to the son of my buddy. This wood came off their place. He's 10 so it'll be a good frog killin' bow.
I guess I need to have more faith in Osage. It can obviously take it if the back is in good shape.
