I'm wanting to step my bowmaking up a notch. I'd like to try a bamboo back / osage core, bamboo belly. Might even throw in a blood wood thin accent. Does anyone have a good starting point of thicknesses and width for the belly, back, and core ? I'm guessing you start out a bit wide and control weight by side wood removal ? Any help. Looking for 50# The type of bow JD and some others are making.

"The Bowyer's Journal" Spring of 2006 issue, has an article  by Wes Martin, "Crafting Laminated Bamboo Bows". It will answer a lot of your questions. I hope this helps.

Would you happen to know the Volume and issue number ? I don't have that issue and am trying to find it on their website.

I'm excited to see your next one Tim. The one you posted on the ITBA bulletin board was very nice

Pete, that would be great if you can. Bob, can't say but have been thinking about Mojams of the past. I see Mudd here pretty regular and can't help thinking about the name he gave us guys who got up early and shot the 3D range. NADS--Natural Archery DevoteeS
