I have tried to steam a couple dents and it did nothing. Can anyone provide any dent removal without sanding detailed info. Jim

I havee never steamed a dent in a bow, but I have done it in hardwood floors and pool sticks. I always used a wet towel folded in half and an electric iron. It takes some time like fifteen minutes and is not a miracle cure but it worked almost everytime I have tried it.

Dents hard to but in a bow to hot for sure makeing it ben to sharp.Sence you wouldn't what to ben it back tht other way sanding would be the only way I could think of.

What DVShunter said - wet and slow heat.
Don't know of any other magical den't removal unless you fill it, or remove wood.

What wood? Some can be burnished out with a round screwdiver or glass bottle. Jawge

I removed a couple dents this morning with good success.I wet down the dents with a wet cloth for about half an hour, then went over them with the steam Iron . It took a couple passes with the hot iron on a  very wet rag but they poped out nicely. The fibers were not crushed or broken .I have fixed other wood dents this way, but this was the first on a bow to be. Time will tell if it realy was succesfull.  :)
