I'm afraid I need some help regarding a 1959 Bear Kodiak reproduction bow That I just had made for me. The bowyer does not do the leather grip like was on the original '59 Kodiaks, so I am going to try it for awhile "bare wristed". In the event I decide that I really want this bow to have a traditional '59 Kodiak style leather grip...who does this kind of work?? I inquired to a few local trad friends but have so far come up empty.......anyone out ther have any good sources for this?????,,,many thanks...John

Hi John check out bowdoc's restoration 101 on collecting/history. He show how to do it yourself or he might do it for you. Good luck Scott
