Had this glued up for a while. Still have a ways to go- lots of sanding, limb overlays, etc. but it is starting to come along. This should finish approx. 40# @ 28" and is gaining 3# per inch up to 30".

I like it too, I'm really starting to like the looks of "I" beam risers.

Yea and it's a good way to use 4/4 wood to get your riser thickness- extra strength is add by having glass/pheonlic running through the riser opposite of the I beam. Got the limb pad overlays glued on and drying and a coat of sanding sealer on the riser- I see plenty of sanding still ahead.

Got to work on the bow some- the finish is close to being done on the riser- still need to final sand the limbs and get finish on them too.

Got the finish done- need to put a rest on and serving on the string- bow came out 40# @ 28" (46# @ 30"- my buddy's draw length) shoots nice& quiet

Looks good.  I'm working on a Leopardwood bow too.  It is neat stuff.  I like the redish brown colors in it.  Like yours mine has an osage "I beam" riser.

The taper is .02- I agree- the leopard wood is good to work with- especially when you knock the sharp edges off and add some finish.

Nice bow ,did you use a pattern from someone or make your own? Im trying a takedown pattern form from bingham my first.Dont know which glue,or glass to use.Could use some advise here.

A friend gave me the form for the limbs- don't know where he got the plans but I do know he makes changes to any plans he gets. The riser was based off of what I thought would work. I use smooth-on for all my glue ups- as for glass I use Gordon Bo-Tuff E Glass, UL (Uni-Laminate). The bingham plans will make you a good bow- the riser can be shaped to your liking- lots of good info on this site.

Trux that is a great looking bow.  Your friend is a lucky guy.  Forty six at 30" I bet it will be pretty quick with the longer draw length.  Again nice job.
