Hello Y'all,

I'm writing again to see if any of you could tell me what kinds of businesses I should contact to get the wood blanks I need.  What methods do you all use to find your wood?  Thank you all....again.

If you wanna make a bow from boards, go to your local lumber yard and pick up some hickory. Pretty much any hardwood should do, but hickory is the best I think and where I live its cheap.

What kind of bows do you want to build? Selfbows, all wood bows or glass lam bows?

look up hardwood lumber retailers for boards.  look around your house for staves.

check the big auction site for staves or you can cut your own and they will be ready to use next year.

my advice to you would be to get in touch with rattle stick bows (gary davis) and buy a stave from him. they are almost fool proof. Rudder bows offer kits as does Pine Hollow. Look in the sponsors for these guys
