I have allot of my long bow completed now.  I have noticed more now that I have some of the extra material taken off the bow that there is a twist in it from end to end.  Meaning that when you hold the bow and look down the bow down the length of it there is a twist.  Hope this makes sense.  Will the screw up the way it will shoot??  Is there some way this can be fixed?? Should I just stop work on it, chaulk it up to a learning experience and start again??

as long as the string lines up with the grip the twist is not a problem.  It seems like most of the hickory bows I have look like that... I have used dry heat and taken it out of several osage bows, but it's not necessary.

Is this a glass bow or wood bow? For wood it isn't as much of a problem as it is will a glass or wood lam bow.

Pat B.  This is a selfbow (longbow) that I am attempting to make out of ash.  72 inches long.  Bob Barnes.  Thank you for your time. I will check this out before I get too much further along.  Either way it is a learning curve.
