Bending limbs

I'm going to bend some recurve in Osage. This is going to be backed with rawhide. Do I bend it before or after I put on the rawhide?

You need to bend it before.  Bending it after the rawhide is applied can cook the rawhide and will cause the glue to break down and separate.

I agree with 4est. TB glue releases at 150deg(F) the wood should be hotter than that to bend.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!
