Hi. I am planning on making my first board bow. I am looking for some input on whether or not to make a handle or make a bow that bends through the handle. I have no preference for either one I just want to know which is easier to make. Thanks.
I never miss where I am aiming, it is just that sometimes I aim at the wrong spot.

I have heard that a bend through the handle is easier to make. I have made them and found you have to be careful not to remove too much from the handle area too soon.
Check out George's site. It has all you need to get started; from finding the right bow through the building process. Posting pics here helps us to see and understand the problems and progress you are having.

I rarely glue on handle. I suggest a bend in the handle design for your first. Go 1.5 in wide for 50-55# and 1 3/8 in wide for 45-50#. Jawge
