What color is the actionwood riser block under the feathers? For contrast I added the dark brown block,the feathers are yellow and flo yellow, wraps are flo orange and white. the reason I'm asking is to settle a little friendly dispute.

Did you get that from Binghams....if so, that appears to be the color "desert camo" and it sure is pink...I was very skeptical to use it at first thinking i would end up with a pink and purple bow......but wipe on some thinner to your block and see how it will turn out...here is a pic of the bow i used it in...I really like the look of this desert camo when it is all said and done

 

This riser block did not from Binghams, I did spray a corner with finish and it stayed the color you see just a little darker, I ordered Rosewood veneers and Rosewood riser blocks, the veneers are brown with a slight dark purple hue to them.

Try it...I think it will look good!

this pic is of the rosewood veneers cut crossgrain and rosewood riserblock both with a little finish on them, is the riser block rosewood or pink?? I know that I'm not gonna build a pink riser bow for myself. The guy I bought this stuff from has not returned my e-mails with pics attached or phone calls. If I'm wrong and the pink looking actionwood is rosewood let me know so I can delete this, by the way the place I ordered this from does sell pink actionwood.

yes, these blocks were sold as Actionwood, I have 2, one is 2 1/8 x 4 x 24 and the other is 1 7/8 x 4 x 24. I am going out to dinner with Helen in a couple of minutes..let me know what you have. Thanks, Robert
