Hi Nick. Welcome. Those are mighty fine bow! Jawge

Tilbilly

Very nice bows, Nick! Our Dutch ancestors survived using longbows, it's in your genes

Also, you're not giving up much going with the natural materials over 'glass, performance-wise.
The older I get, the better I was.

Man those bows are sweet, if you sold them here in the states, I would buy one.

thanks for your kind replies guys!

Hud, I used scots pine dowels for the shafts. they started as 14mm, but I worked them down to 1/2" at tip to 3/8" at the rear. Using big fletches of 7 1/2"  long, and 3/4" - 1" high (yeah, too high, but my shooting range is max. 240yards... like shooting at 160yards). They're 73grams, and I use some simple machine forged bodkins I bought in a dutch archery store. They're rough, simple, and ugly, but they fly great  :)  No nockinserts, not even a binding, usually just glue the parts together when I break a nock. Gotto make some better arrows soon!

falk,,, your reply dissapeared. but thanks for trying anyways  :D  I thought I had read it before... but it's gone now.

george... I see you on many forums! hehe. PP,PA, TG...  :p

thanks for your kind reply tilbilly!

Toelke, I do want to sell them, can't find any buyers though. If you want to pay shipment, I'd love to make you one, won't be too pricy. PM me  ;)

in the old days religion had it's use to keep nations together. Today, religion tears nations apart.
