Hope this is in the right place.

I was wondering what the life span is for a well made Osage Selfbow.  I hear some say they don't last very long, yet others say they last for years.

I have one in the making, and was just wondering. it will be 64" NTN and 45#@28" with Osage tip overlays. There will be no backing on the bow.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, who knows? A well made bow could last for many, many years. Jawge

For the guy that buy's one, it should last as long as it's taken care of. Now for the guy that builds one, sorry to say it only lasts till the next bow he builds.    ;)

Right on Dano. I'm looking forward to retiring my current bow which I have used for three years now. Boy do I need that therapy that comes from shaving wood.

I don't know as I am ready to start another one!
The last one is a bit under built, though, so it isn't the best example.
