I am making a bow for my nephew as a graduation gift.  It's a surprise.  Problem is I have no clue what his draw length will be.  He is 6'3".  the bow is a 60" recurve bingham design.  Any ideas?

29-30" perhaps, or more... depends on how he shoots the bow.

Do you have any idea how he anchors? If not shoot with him and see how he anchors.Have you made another bow like this before? Do you have an idea of how it stacks? If so you could probably build it for 29" and be good to maybe close to 30 1/2" depending on how it stacks. 60" seems to be short for someone that tall considering his draw length may be on the long side. Do you know his draw length on a wheel bow by chance? It has been my experience most folks are an 1" - 1 1/2" shorter draw on traditional gear. These are only my opinions and experiences. I sure someone much more knowledgable will offer advice. Paul<><

thanks for the advice.  I have built this bow before but not for a 29" or 30" drawlength.  My plan was to shorten the riser to give the bow more working limb length and to narrow the upper limb a little more for the same reason. Going to shoot for 30"
