One of the best parts of bowmaking is walking in the wild searching for good bow wood. Todays goal was laburnum..

Nice Laburnum harvest Daniel. Lots of good character wood there. Looking forward to seeing your finished bows. I have heard Laburnum makes good bows.   Pat

I agree when ever i'm in the woods hunting, fishing ,scouting deer and turkeys the list go's on an on.
I always keep an eye out for bow wood.Lots of time i'll fine a nice tree i'll just keep it in the back of my mine and let it grow untill I need it.Some times I can't wait and have to have it seasoning.Other time i'll just cut the log long spray it with pestside and stand it in a corner out of the sun.
But yes it's always in the back of my mine.
