Hey Mike,
Don't have those veneers on the site yet, won't sell anything  new I haven't put in a bow to see how it behaves. Did sell an uncut pc of it to a guy with the understanding that I knew nothing about its behavior in a bow!

Any wood can be a lam or a veneer I guess, just usually call the really thin ones veneers, theres a few pics on this page.......

good looking stuff let us know how it works.

Ok, I understand now.  I'm looking for some thin veneers to go front and back under two sets of plain hardrock I already have on hand.  A veneer would truly make a diff over the plain maple but don't want to push draw weights too much.  One of these bows will go to a 15 year old.  He's a big kid but don't want to over bow him and get him into bad habits.

I can go down to .020,but that would be quite a bit when you add 2 of them to the stack.

Can you do 2 thin lams back and belly and one maple in the core?

I could leave out one 72" maple parralel I guess.  I gotta get the lams out of the rafters and measure them.  Don't want to let it get too light.  Both of these guys draw pretty long so shortening the bow is a limited option.

Gonna put the calipers to the lams and see what I got.

Thanks for the tip.  Simple solution, but it never occured to me.  :banghead:

My maple parralels run .066 so leaving one out and adding two .020 would still be .026 short of the planned stack.  It would probably be too much weight reduction.  I'm going to stick with what I have for these two bows but will probably order a set of lams including veneers from you for the next project.

Thanks for your help
