Anybody ever used spray glue to seal the ends and back of staves for drying. Seems it is an easy way to apply a sealant.

If it gives a good moisture proof barrier it will work. I've never tried it. What kind of glue is it?

I've found that sprays are expensive and generally waste more than they apply.  But, I occasionally use spray poly when I chase a ring on wet wood and don't have shellac handy.  Spray adhesives might not be the best choice.  They stay tacky for quite a while so I assume some additives.  Give it shot though.  We never know until we try.

Alcohol thinned shellac is cheap and easy.  Smells good too.
Take a kid hunting!
