Thanks for the kind words everybody.  Manny, I really love the looks of this style of bow and it shoots real good for me.

I decided to take it hunting this afternoon instead of my BBO and headed out to a big Cottonwood deadfall that I knew would be close to a travel route.

I got set up around 3pm and had four turkeys come within 10 yards about an hour later.  They were on the other side of the deadfall.     :banghead:

I decided to move to the other side of the deadfall because of the better shooting lanes and about half an hour before dark I had does and yearlings approaching.

To make a long story short just before dark I took a 20 yard shot at a big doe (only open broadside shot at seven deer) and watched my luminock center punch her rib cage (most everyone who knows me knows that I hunt with bamboo arrows and yes it had a homemade luminock)     :D     .   I watched her trot off with my nock still visible in her side.

I sat down and waited about 15 minutes while digging out my lights and then started trailing.  I decided to end the search this evening (2-1/2 hrs.) because I lost the trail and starvation.  I haven't eaten since breakfast.

I have bloodied my new bow and at first light tomorrow I will be back on the trail with 'Curly'.  I marked the last spot by hanging a can on a limb and putting a waypoint in my GPS.

Wish me luck fellas.

I found her about 8:30 this morning, froze solid.  It was 22* when I left the house.  Pictures later.
