I'm posting one more thing on Kydex cause a couple of people have asked.  To take some of the plainness away from a plastic sheath, you can laminate thin leather to the outside to dress it up.  Last Kydex post guarenteed..tippit

Looks good. I am working on some similar things for for my Japanese style blades right now.

What kind of adhesive are you using?
So far I really like the 3M super 77 spray adhesive.

Jeff, This is the place for that information. Please don't let that be the last. I really like seeing this.

Ben,
I may try that.  Right now I'm using a contact cement from Tandy Leather...store near me so I peruse the shelves for anything interesting.  I think ray skins with that white diamond would look cool.

Lin,
I didn't want people getting bored with Kydex as it isn't as sexy as tooled leather.

Jeff, an F-150 isn't as sexy as a Ferrari, but you see a lot more of them on the road, and I don't think people are bored with them yet.  I'm not a fan of kydex personally, but I do recognize that it has a place in knifemaking.  When I do build a knife that kydex will work well with (and I have actually used kydex two or three times), I'll be grateful for the tips you have posted recently.  Keep them coming.

I'm sure not bored with it. Function first in my book.

I like some of the benefits on different carry methods that kydex brings. I've been interested for a while in looking at lined kydex sheathes with leather on the outside like you've got here.

I'm glad you've been putting it up here  :) .

I'm with the others. Don't stop thinking/posting about Kydex. I love the leather covering idea. Really changes it for me in a positive way.
