I just finished up the frontier style belt knife in L6. The blade has hammer textured flats and I also gave it a very durable antique finish.
The handle is some of my AAAA+ dyed curly maple and the pins are copper that will develop a nice patina with use.
This is probably my favorite knife profile that I do. The handle is nicely contoured and is very secure and comfortable in either a forward or reverse grip.

That is a nice knife Ben.

I appreciate your attention to detail even in what some might call a simple knife. It takes effort to make all of the colors and texture to work and this one does. For example on this knife your plunges are curved forward providing room for your stamp and enough texture to make it worth while. That was not by accident, I'm sure.

Some knives are not likely to see the woods and be able to look good very long, but this one has potential to see a lot of use and still look good years down the road. It's built in.

Thanks for the thoughtful comments Lin, I really appreciate them. The blade finish on these is incredibly durable and just looks better and better with use.

Here is another one with some really nice Desert Ironwood.

I'm hard pressed for which wood I like more. The black pins look very nice with the D.I.  Would you be willing to share what finish process you did for the handle?

Add in a tapered tang and that'd about be perfect in my mind

I normally taper all of my tangs. But these with the thin stock and textured flats I don't usually.

I really like both of them, simple design but very nice lines. Very well crafted too.
