Doug & Karen Campbell came for a visit to Aiken, SC.  After a little hog hunting, Doug & I headed to Haywood College in Clyde, NC for the hammer-in.  Great time, saw old friends, and met new ones.  

One interesting knife for me was Master Smith Daniel Warren's hog combo folder.  So neat that one came home with me.  I'll be going back next December to take Daniel's folder course.

   

   

   

Now I just need to make my hog combo into a single knife        tippit

That is a very cool knife Jeff came home with. Karen and I had a ball spending the last week with Jeff and Molly, sure wish we'd planned two weeks... Maybe next year  

Like Jeff I got to visit with some old seldom seen friends and met some new ones. Especially enjoyed visiting with TGers Bradley Owens, Scott McGhee and Barry Clodfelter. Invited a few others here, we'll see if they come visit.

Always good stuff at these hammer-ins and symposiums. Wish I could just travel around the country and attend them...    

Like to have not made it home, "fubar" flights coming home. They thought we wouldn't get here till Fri but changed us from Delta to United and got home yesterday after spending the night in Atlanta courtesy of Delta... Damn near had the same thing happen coming home from AR last month.   :mad:   Still better than driving four or five days I guess....

Arrived home to new snow and wind, good excuse to spend time in the shop after getting softened up down south. Now back to work and try to do some catching up.

Sure is nicer than the swingblade put out by Outdoor Edge.

Not a big hog hunter but hoping to start what is the curved blade for, I am sure skinning, but what part does it make easier. If I kill one I want to be able to clean it so. Sorry for my ignorance. But also awesome blades on all accounts.

Just got back from Nebraska turkeys, the curved blade is a stripper.  You just put it under the skin and zip slits in the hide maybe eight inches from butt to head.  Then just pull the hide off my hand.  Takes less than 5 minutes to skin a hog...tippit

ok i had a guy offer to give me a whole bunch of live trapped hogs today and could not take any because i am working but also because i had no idea how to skin or butcher one. But now i see where that would be useful.
