Lighter - Faster {Dead Mt. Chopper}

I haven't done one of these in a very long time, and only 2 previously. After seeing one featured in Blade mag recently (to my surprise), I got the hankering to do another one. I decided to make this one more of a fighter and less of a chopper. The blade is full flat ground to a very keen edge and I also gave it a tapered tang. This cut the OAL weight to only 17oz!
The handle is some of my exclusive Thunderstorm Kevlar phenolic w/ thin red liners. It has what I would consider a user grade machine finish, that I cold blue and stonewashed. This one feels absolutely deadly in hand, I will have a hard time parting with it.
Let me know what you guys think, all opinions are welcome.

Due to another topic that is going strong right now, I have to ask. Does that qualify as a bowie?

i would say yes to matts question... i would lable it as a recurve bowie. and i dont own any knives with this profile that are this large but i know i do not care for the recurve profile on small pocket knives . it proves very hard to sharpen for me. but this knife is great i would say its large enought to leave the hatchet at home.

I designed this originally as kind of a bowie/khukri hybrid.
And I agree with you JD, small recurves are a pain to sharpen, on larger blade the radius is larger and much easier to keep sharp.
